History of the name: Clovis Point Intermediate School was named after the Richey-Roberts Clovis dig site that was discovered near Pangborn Airport, East Wenatchee, in May of 1987. At that time enormous spearpoints were found that dated back to the Paleo-Indian era of over 10,000 years. It was one of the largest finds in the world of this type of tool used centuries ago.
